Microsoft also announced another new service called Content Moderator, and talked up other decision services such as Ink Recognizer for embedding digital ink recognition, and Form Recognizer to better automate data entry. The recently announced Anomaly Detector is also in the Decision category of Azure Cognitive Services.

On the AI search front, Microsoft is making its intelligent Azure Search service generally available, and previewing a new storage capability that will allow developers to take cognitive search results and apply them to Microsoft Power BI data visualizations or machine learning models. There' s also a new conversation transcription capability in Azure's Speech Service, which transcribes meeting conversations in real time.

更多智能云服务 When it comes to machine learning specifically, Microsoft (and every other tech giant) continue to focus on simplifying how ML models are built, trained, and deployed. New MLOps capabilities with Azure DevOps integration are designed to help developers better reproduce, audit, and automate model creation and training.

On the hardware front, Microsoft announced the general availability of hardware-accelerated ML models that run on field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), as well as ONNX Runtime support for NVIDIA TensorRT and Intel nGraph for high-speed inferencing on NVIDIA and Intel chipsets.

Microsoft is also attempting to make it easier for developers and non-programmers to work with ML models. The company already has a low-code development platform called Microsoft PowerApps, but ahead of Build Microsoft announced a new visual ML interface for users to create and deploy models in a completely no-code, drag-and-drop experience.

IoT and Intelligent Edge

Microsoft wants to connect every smart enterprise device through Azure. One element of this strategy is HoloLens 2, but the company wants developers to be able to plug any device into another throughout its ecosystem.

The company has been working with other blockchain and banking companies for years on projects such as its open-source Coco blockchain framework. As part of the rollout, Microsoft announced that J.P. Morgan' s Quorum, a permissioned or private blockchain platform built on Ethereum, will be the first ledger available on Azure Blockchain Service.
